Harmony (How to One Another)
Sunday Feb 16, 2014
Sunday Feb 16, 2014
Welcome to the 3rd sermon on the communal disciplines of the church (3 of 4).
A lot of information has been written on how Christians can grow in their relationship with God: the personal disciplines (prayer, meditation, fasting, study). There is also a lot written on how to engage with people who are not believers. The ‘missional disciplines’ that help Christians live out the mission of the gospel and engage with people who don’t think like them, conveying the love of Christ on their level. But how we live out the gospel with other people who DO embrace the gospel? How do we actually BE the church? How should we treat one another?

Philippians 2:12-18: The Result of Answers (Answers & Questions)
Sunday Jan 26, 2014
Sunday Jan 26, 2014
Welcome to the 3rd sermon in our series on answers and questions. (3 of 3)
A catechism is a summary of the principles of Christian religion in the form of questions and answers, used for the instruction of Christians. We should ask questions. We don’t grow and we don’t learn unless we ask questions. If all we do is make assertions and assumptions, we don’t really learn. So we should value questions. But those questions can’t just be for the sake of asking questions or even for the sake of getting answers. We can ask questions and get answers, and it do nothing to us. There has to be something more. There should be an end goal; there should be a transformation that happens. The goal should be to gain wisdom, to understand the way we were designed to be, and to see who we really are.

Christmas zeros us in on the birth Jesus, God made manifest in human flesh. Join us for this series that sets the stage for the mystery of Christmas.

Welcome to the 24th sermon in our series on how God has worked in history. (24 of 24)
When you hear the word hero, what comes to mind? Heroes of faith? Everyday heroes? War heroes? Superheroes? What about God? Some of us see God as a “dictator in the sky” that commands what will take place on earth. We may see God as removed and disinterested or like a cheerleader or a grandfather that spoils us. What informs your view of God? In this series we are going into the stories of the book of Exodus to examine real historical stories of real people dealing with real problems. We will discover who God truly is through what he has done.
